Karura Youth Sports Association (KYSA)

This is our sports outreach and evangelism program. Our aim is to share the word of God with the youth in the neighboring schools and communities, using Soccer as an entry point.

Additionally, to help build the character of these players, we take them through the Ubabalo training.

Through our partnership with the ‘Simama na Binti’ Initiative, we have been able to support the girls in the schools we visit, by giving Sanitary Towels, further communicating the love of Christ and helping them stay in school throughout the month.

We have also recently launched a Soccer academy that will not only help grow your child’s soccer skills, build their character while also sharing the word of God, but also help us raise funds for this great ministry. Areas of partnership:

1. Volunteer to pray for the ministry- weekly/monthly.
2. Volunteer to help in our weekly sports activities- first aid, referee, cheering, recording scores, etc.
3. Volunteer to participate in a clean-up in a given choice of school or plant trees in April and November.
4. Volunteer to teach a lesson and activity on good character to a team during the week or weekend.
5. Support the Simama na Binti initiative either in-kind or financially.
6. Sponsor a team (Kshs. 5,000/- per team (USD 49) to the December Championship.
7. Link us to an organization or company that can help us support these children and youth.
