Tumaini Scholarship and Mentorship Program

Tumaini Scholarship and Mentorship program was initiated in July 2011. The program was born out of the numerous requests for educational support that would come to us every year, as well as the pressing reality of education in Kenya.

We are currently providing scholarship support to 86 students in secondary school and 3 in University.

Our Scholarship and Mentorship program goes beyond distributing school fees to needy children. We endeavor to be agents of life transformation to these children and their families by providing each child with mentorship.

Areas of partnership:

  1. Volunteer to pray for the ministry- weekly/monthly.
  2. Volunteer a day to visit a student in school or at home.
  3. Volunteer to be a mentor and participate in our   mentorship events during school holidays in April, August and November.
  4. Volunteer to assist in planning for events such as subject strategy talks, Teens apprentice, examiners forum, career fairs and life skills training
  5. Volunteer to help with raising funds for the Program. (See our proposal here)
  6. Support a student for one year at a cost of Kshs. 60,000/- (USD 600 per student for 1 year)
  7. Donate to the Tumaini Fund on a monthly/Annual basis; you can do MPESA, Cash, Standing Order or Check.
  8.  Link the program with an organization that can support financially as part of their CSR
